Next job was to find out where she had been. With the 'B' card ordered from the RLC website (http://www.rlcarchive.org/VehicleSrch) and a little detective work and a lot of help from knowledgeable people on http://forum.militarylightweight.co.uk

11/12/1984 - Hilton
The storage depot it went to before being issued to it's first unit.

10/6/1985 - 1 WFR
The 1st Battalion Worcester and Sherwood Foresters.

8/8/1986 - 2 RGJ
The 2nd Battalion Royal Green Jackets.

13/7/1987 - Ashchurch
A storage/maintenance depot in Tewkesbury.

14/12/1987 - COMP. ORD. DEP. VEH.S.D.
Composite Ordnance Depot Vehicle Supply Division/Department

Composite Ordnance Depot Vehicle Supply Division/Department - Comp Ord's dealt with everything, near enough. It's voucher
receipt date on the B card and Merlin record correspond at 14/12/87 as does the voucher number 0138. What is not known is the UIN (Unit Identification Number) location but given as CA311C on Merlin it may be Catterick at an educated guess. SUP SQN RLC VEH GP STOCK is Support Squadron Royal
Logistics Corps Vehicle General Purpose Stock.

29/10/1997 - Aston Down
The car auctions where it was sold. ADT was located at
Peterborough. ADT Peterborough dealt with all disposals for the East Midlands area.

99,519 km on the odometer that's 61,838 miles in 'Olde English'
not bad for a vehicle that's 32 years old!

So as soon as she arrived at her new home some I took some photos
to send to the insurers.

As seen in the web advert for her sale. 1984 Lightweight Land Rover FFR
